Called to Serve...

Well this is my last post before I leave.... I'm so excited and can't even wait to serve!! I don't know where all of you will be in 18 months but I'm look forward to hearing about all your adventures. Just know that God loves you and wants you to be happy!! That is why he sent His Son, Jesus Christ!! I love you all very much and hope the next year and a half are Great!!

Do you ever feel like there is too much in your life?! Too much going on, too much to ponder on, too many bills to pay, people to see, places to go, and things to get? That is how I was feeling... But today, today I feel relief! I feel ease in my life... Not sure exactly why! I mean I still have a few bills to pay and people to see. But life has purpose and I'm excited for what lies ahead. Three weeks until I leave. Everything is wrapping itself up and a new stage of my life is opening!! Oh what adventures and experience I'll have. I can't even wait. I only have my Father in Heaven to thank for this opportunity and for the relief and peace in my life. He has calmed my fears and eased my heart. I thank Him daily.

I know that Valentines Day was practically a month ago, but I have been in a romantic mood lately. Which is silly because I have no significant other... but I've seen the movie Leap Year twice in the last week and could watch it every day. It is absolutely adorable. Also I've had many friends get engaged to their best friends and I'm so excited for them. I don't know I guess with spring comes love. I also found this new blog called Tongue in Cheek and I love it. I found this beautiful post about love letters. Read it here. I've decided that sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with or when but when its right its right and Love is what we have in this world so we better not let it go once we find it whether it be from our parents, friends, significant other, child, or even a stranger. Well I hope you don't mind my random rantings on LOVE!!

So I pretty much have to wear business clothes to work every day!! Today I found my outfit pretty fabulous, if I do say so myself... I know a little vain but I just had to post it :)

Serving

So I am so EXCITED! And can't believe I haven't posted anything about it. But I'm going to serve my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, for eighteen months. I've been called to serve in Rochester, New York. Part of my calling is to serve at the Hill Cumorah visitors center. Oh my goodness I'm so excited!! I leave in a couple months and can't even wait!! Getting all the stuff I need is kind of crazy but its comin along pretty welll!! Here is a link to a video that President Gordon B Hinkley made, its about the restoration. Dreams please stop bothering me...

I don't know why but lately I have been having very vivid dreams.. you know the kind! The ones that stay with you all day and won't leave you alone!! And EVERY single one has to do with a dumb boy!! Oh my goodness I pray every night for these boys to please stay out of the only peaceful hours of my whole day!! But to no avail... still those vivid dreams!! Also every dream has me going to some beautiful place. One night was this beautiful purple lake... I found this picture on flickr and seriously that is what it looked like... The next night was a trip down the nile or the amazon river... Not quite sure. Does water mean anything in dreams? hmmm... well after a week of this I'm hoping it'll end tonight as I am moving back into the parentals house! It should be pretty adventurous or hopefully full of dreamless nights!!

Happy Valentines Day!! I hope that everyone had a great day full of love and loving!! I spent the day with my family. Since I do not have a significant other.... Single awareness day! ha ha but we made a cute dinner and watched a chick flick while eating delicious chocolate and sugar cookies!! Wishing you all peace and love the whole year round!!

Munchies

Lately all I have wanted to do is munch munch and munch!!! I've been in the biggest snack phase of my life, and I can tell you that going to walmart late and night WILL NOT help! I came home with family size pack of s'more poptarts (they are my favorite), oatmeal snack cakes, crackers and cheese, and granola bars!! Oh boy I don't know if I'll ever get through all the snacks!! My roommate encouraged me to get some fruit, Hence the picture above :) my delicious grapes, they just look good!!

So it was my twenty first birthday this week!! What a great birthday it was. I spent it with my family, friends and ate many delicious pieces of cake. I'm so excited to be twenty one and can't wait for the exciting year that lies ahead!! For my birthday I made Salmon {my favorite, despite whether my family ate it or not} we went to spoon me {my all time favorite, this guy even sang a song about me there because it was open mike night}, ate a gorgeous barbie cake {my mothers ploy to keep me youthful} and watched 500 Days of Summer. I really felt like one lucky girl!!

Over the weekend me and Alyssa, one of my best friends here at school, threw a joint birthday party. Her birthday is in a week so we decided to share the celebration. We decorated {black and white streamers, I thought they were classy, Alyssa thought they were over the hillish) we baked {cookies, brownies, delicious cupcakes shown above} we danced {party in the usa, miley cyrus and just dance, lady gaga} What a great way to celebrate being twentyone then with friends, food, and dancing. My two best friends, Leisa and Monica, even came up from their far away higher education institutions to celebrate the legal age with me and Alyssa. I don't think I could have asked for a better birthday!!!
