Galoshes..

Oh how I LOVE these Galoshes!!
They make everything right when it rains or snows. This last week the snow came!! Of course my house is situated below campus so of course I have to trek up an icy treacherous hill. But I can't help but smile knowing that I have these beautiful things to get me up that hill. I also can do many great things with these magical boots, yes I did just call them magical. Ya know when your walking and you see a path that is right through the snow and you wonder who in the world would just trudge through a foot of snow?! Well it was probably me. If it is raining, you can legit jump in the puddles. Oh what a great feeling!!!

With me or At me?!

Well I'm back at school!! Its almost midterms and life is pretty great!! I switched my major to FCHD Child Development. It's great I love love all my classes. I always have fun stories when I get home from school.
Like my storytelling class, its a theater class so its all very theatrical, we do warm ups and preform. Pretty much just telling stories and working on perfecting them. I love this class because we just get to hear about the funny and moving things about everyone's life! Come to find out I'm very bad at telling stories! Which surprises me a little because I always thought I was kind of hilarious when I told stories... I guess people were just laughing at me not with me. Oh well laughter is laughter!!
In my Marriage and Family Relations class I laugh everyday!! My favorite day was when we talked about emotional intimacy and he asked someone in our 100 person class to give an example when they had shared something to make a situation more intimate. So I raised my hand and proceed to tell the whole class about when I told my SOAR (student orientation) group about how I had peed me pants the weekend before, thinking that they'd feel more comfortable with me, and how they actually were more quiet than the dead and that moment turned into my second most embarrassing moment. My class got a real hoot out of this and couldn't stop laughing (this was a probably at me not with me moment). Then my teacher proceeds to bring it up several times in class that I had peed my pants with comments like "at least you didn't pee your pants" "it could be worse... maybe if you peed your pants" oh it was funny. Then he asked if anyone in the class had been speed dating, I was fairly confident that at least a quarter of the class had been before, but as I raised my hand I realized I was the only one with my hand in the air. So of course the teacher lets out a chuckle and exclaims "So you peed your pants and you speed date?!, oh sorry I just can't help it." Good thing I take things so well! I actually thought it was quite comical and love telling people this story. Honestly so many funny things have come from me peeing my pants...

Harry Potter!!

This week was the premier of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. If you didn't know I am completely a Harry Potter addict and honestly believe it is my true love. I have been counting the days until the premier with a actual phone count down, hearing the theme from the movie every time my phone rings, reading of the sixth book, being so consumed in it that I have be having dreams about me being Harry, and lastly finding any opportunity to chat about it with someone else! The actual day of the premier I felt like I had taken a strong dose of Felix Felices, liquid luck (if you didn't know), I woke up feeling very magical, I went volunteered which lifted my spirits even more, went to the gym and realized it was free bagel day (amazing), I even ran the mile the fastest yet, many friends called and texted me to share the Harry Potter excitement and chat about what would be in the movie. All day long I could not stop squealing from excitement! Scott called me and warned me not to go stand in line all day because it is just annoying, he manages at the theater. This sent me into a very panicked and nervous mood, my heart beat was up and I visioned sitting on the very front row and not being able to see the movie from severe neck cramps!! Justin even texted me telling me how I needed to go down, which made me even more crazed! Thankfully Scott thought of the brilliant idea to just ask to help clean the theater and be the first one in!! With my hogwarts attire on I hurried over to pick up Des, who would be accompanying me on this magical night! We indeed were the first in the theater and got the best seats in the house! We had to wait three hours but so worth it! One by one groups came in all dressed in Harry Potter fashion, the best was the Weasley family and Dumbledore! When Dumbledore walked in the whole theater started cheering as if he truly was their headmaster! I felt right at home with these crazily ecstatic fans! I even got a picture with him, I was on cloud nine!! Finally the movie began! Oh it was amazing, of course some disappointments, but overall rather hilarious and I love ron! Now I have to wait a whole year to see the next one but I will never ever stop feeling the magic of Harry Potter!

MOAB.09

My family decided to take a weekend trip to Moab. It was great to just get out of Logan. We camped out at the great KOA, complete with showers and a pool! The pool was freezing so me and Kristali only got in after we were dared and threatened with our lives.
I read a lot, which it wouldn't be a weekend away without a good book! The first day we went to Arches then we went to dead horse point, in canyonlands, the next day! Both were really beautiful parks and it was great to see earths natural landmarks! The night before we left, the whole crew decided on playing a good game of phase ten. During the game Clayton, the youngest, comments that he is glad we don't have a weird family. Next thing we know Scott is making blue darts, almost lighting the campground on fire, while my Dad is almost dying of laughter from his sons flatulence problems, like a young school boy. Ethan can't get over that he killed a lizard with his mad slingshotting skills. All the while kristali is thinking to herself... What did I marry into?!.. All in all we are a weird family! But I love every single person in my family and I'm so glad that I have been sent to them! After three days of sleeping, eating, hiking, and laughing we head back to good old Logan.

I could spend hours walking up and down streets, in parks, and up the canyon just to see the beautiful verdure that the valley has to offer. I truely think that flowers are a sign of spring felicity!
